On April 15th, 45+ entrepreneurs joined us on Zoom for an insightful morning event! This Healthcare Entrepreneur Meetup was not one to miss: HealthIT folks joined A.T. Gimbel, Andrew Nye, Founder of Qatalyst Health, Hannah Olson, Founder of Disclo, and Amari Morton, Founder of Greater Change Health, as they shared how they each started in the healthcare space.
These Meetups are part of an ongoing series of talks about Healthcare in Atlanta, with the objective of making Atlanta the premier place to start and grow a HealthIT business. The goal of these meetups is to facilitate connections, hear from industry professionals, and truly dig deeper into Healthcare problems that Atlanta entrepreneurs can help solve.
We kicked off the morning with a classic Zoom breakout session, where everyone shared a skill they have that most people wouldn’t know about. It was a great opportunity to connect with new faces and reconnect with familiar ones before we dove into the event.
Qatalyst Health
Catalyst Health, founded two years ago, is using AI to help nursing homes operate more efficiently despite tight margins and heavy administrative workloads. Their platform supports everything from quickly analyzing large referral packets and assessing clinical and financial fit to identifying missed reimbursement opportunities and monitoring patient data in real time. Already used by a portion of facilities in South Carolina, the company is now expanding into Georgia and the West Coast, adapting to state-specific Medicaid requirements along the way.
Greater Change Health
Greater Change, founded by Emory alum Amari Morton, is an on-demand mental health platform offering 24/7 access to therapists via phone, text, and virtual sessions. During the discussion, Amari highlighted how their model expands access by working with practicum-level therapists and addressing gaps in insurance coverage, helping reduce long wait times and high costs. With growing traction across schools and employers, the company has already served thousands of clients and is continuing to scale through new partnerships and expansion.
Disclo
Disclo, led by co-founder and CEO Hannah Olson, is a YC-backed company operating at the intersection of healthcare and employment. During the discussion, she shared how their platform helps companies manage workplace accommodations and ADA compliance end-to-end, serving large teams across well-known brands. She also introduced their newly launched product, an embeddable medical verification tool designed to streamline a process that impacts millions annually, combining AI with human oversight to improve efficiency and reduce risk.
