When Christian Ries founded The Perlant in 2023, he didn’t open a wine bar. He built a community — one conversation at a time — before the doors ever opened. That patient, intentional approach turned a founding cohort of 100 memberships into a club of more than 500 in just over a year.
Now, The Perlant is taking that same model to Nashville.
The Atlanta-based private social club has signed a lease in the Gulch neighborhood, with plans to open its second location in Fall 2027. True to form, Christian isn’t waiting for the walls to go up. A founding cohort of 100 Nashville memberships is forming now — assembled through personal conversations, not a traditional sales process.
It’s the same playbook that worked in Atlanta: build the community first, then build the space around it.
The Atlanta flagship operates across nearly 10,000 square feet at Two Buckhead Plaza, featuring a dining room, wine bar, cellar, private dining room, and patio — anchored by a wine program of more than 6,000 bottles led by Wine Director Elizabeth Dames. The programming, from monthly wine dinners to travel experiences that sell out within the hour, reflects what the club has always been about: gathering intentionally around great wine and good company.
Nashville founding members gain immediate access to all of that — Atlanta programming, member dinners, winemaker tastings, and the annual travel program — ahead of the Gulch location’s opening.
We’re proud to have been part of The Perlant’s journey and excited to watch Christian bring this community to a city that’s more than ready for it.
