On June 29, 2022, HealthIT founders and folks joined A.T. Gimbel and the Atlanta Ventures crew for a discussion with four amazing entrepreneurs: Ali Rahimi, Jennifer Sparks, Stephen Thomas, and Danae Moya. These entrepreneurs presented their innovative services and discussed important questions for starting HealthIT founders, such as finding the ideal customer, biggest barriers to success, and important lessons learned.
These Meetups are part of an ongoing series of talks about Healthcare in Atlanta, with an objective of making Atlanta the premier place to start and grow a HealthIT business.
The morning kicked off with 49 entrepreneurs diving into breakout room sessions where they discussed habits and hobbies they picked up during the Covid Pandemic. Following the breakout rooms, A.T. and the founders gave introductions and discussed their firms.
Lealta — Stephen Thomas
Patient loyalty for hospital systems is an overlooked problem in the industry. With around half of all patients moving from one physician to another, ‘leakage’ causes large losses in hospital revenue and issues for patients who aren’t understood properly. Lealta’s membership program provides personalized reminders and a streamlined fast-pass care, helping healthcare institutions provide both primary and secondary care with efficiency and long-term benefits.
Vacmobile — Jennifer Sparks
Jennifer Sparks at Vacmobile strives to renew a long outdated and critical verification tool: vaccine records. Currently, paper records get damaged or lost and require constant scanning and reprinting. Vacmobile helps over 100 million people who need verification of vaccinations through exception tracking, PHI tools, comprehensive self-reporting features, and fraudulence detection algorithms.

DelphiStem — Danae Moya
Over 70% of Americans take at least one prescription drug. These drugs are administered late after symptoms are detected, and it often takes multiple different medications to find the one best suited to the individual patient. Danae Moya and the DelphiStem team use recent advances in stem cell technology to tackle these issues — making medications more efficient, reducing harmful side effects, and enabling earlier discovery of preventable diseases.
Alyka Health — Ali Rahimi
While working as a health doctor, Ali Rahimi discovered a deep-rooted problem with patient-doctor communication: patients would often forget to take their medication or avoid meeting with their doctors. Alyka Health is an app that fixes this — using risk calculators, personal health journey functions, and motivational tools to close critical gaps between patients and physicians.
